Wow, I am in Cambodia. I left Laos a few days ago planning on spending time in Bangkok, like longer than two hours, but then ended up on a bus to Siem Reap... funny how traveling works sometimes. Three countries in just over 24 hours. Wow.
Laos is great, I don't even know where to begin. Best place ever. Luang Prabang is probably my favorite city in the world right now, I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I didn't mean to capitolize that last part but this janky keyboard keeps making me yell....
Traveling is amazing I dont' even know what to say. I feel more alive now than I ever have in my life. So centered, so grounded, so "in the moment." I just formulated a plan to travel from SE Asia to India and Nepal and then South America. Wow. I keep saying that but being in Cambodia is really a trip. You can't understand it until you come here. Especially right after spending so much time in Laos, which is so laid back and gorgeous. I am so going back to Laos asap. Literally. Maybe in a week or so. To the south where I have not been yet. And then maybe Viet Nam or the Thaislands (i just made that up) for the holidays. Not sure yet. Hard to plan further than one week or even 2 days ahead.
Okay this keyboard is getting to me and I am exhausted and will try to get up to see the sunrise in Angkor, so I bid you all farewell and lots of love!

hey just wondering if you had headed back to laos yet? the islands in the south are awesome. they're so chilled out and the best thing in the world is watching the sun set over the mekong. when we were there, we saw the most amazing sunset. as the sky grew more golden, red then dark, the stars came out brilliantly. just along the horizon, though, there was a line of clouds and as the sun went down we watched a lightning storm in the distance all the while with stars shining brightly above. we could hear distant rumbling and see flashes that pierced through the candlelight and all of us staying at mr. b's started singing together. there were folks from all over the world there just listening to thunder and then singing together. it was one of my best nights on our whole trip, and probably one of the best in my life. i'm scared that if i ever go back it will be different or i will be different, but i'll always remember just how incredibly beautiful the experience was. getting away from the islands was a huge pain in the ass though. the tuktuks were really, really full. even the big ones. the one we got on was so full that there were people on top of the canopy and i sat squashed between a basket with chickens in it and a bag of flour under my feet all the while a bag with frogs dripping above me. you know those skinny benches you get in tuktuks? we were on there with other people back to back with us. it was dreadful, but what i wouldn't give to be there now instead of out of this freezing cold here! (literally freezing. as in lower than 0 degrees C. for days on end.) wherever you are i hope you're having a fantastic time and are meeting great people to spend the holidays with. where to next liz?
Hey Liz, it's been over a month since you posted. What's the deal girl? Everything you have written about so far sounds absolutely amazing. I hope your travels are still going as well, and I look forward to your next check in. Many prayers for safety and happiness. Namaste, Vicki
